Entry Requirements: A Valid Passport and valid Visa
for those not exempted.
Airport Tax: A Tax is payable in cash by all
passengers departing on International Flights if not included in
your ticket at the time of purchase.
Currency: The Tanzanian Shilling ( Tsh or TZS ) divided into 100
cents is the National currency.
Credit Cards: American Express, Mastercard, Visa,
Euro Card are accepted by large Tourist establishments around the
country. Travellers Cheques in Pounds Sterling or US Dollars and
Euros are accepted.
Banking: Banks and Forex Bureaus are available at Airports and in
all major Towns. Banking Hours are from Monday to Friday 0830 Hrs to
1430 Hrs. Saturday 0830 Hrs to 1330 Hrs. ATM and 24 Hour Cash
Machines are available in branches of major Banks and accept
International Visa Card transactions.
All Banks are closed on Sundays.

Airport located 15 Km southwst of Dar-es-Salaam and takes approx. 25
minutes to reach by road from downtown.
Zanzibar International Airport located approx. 7 kms from Centre of
Stone Town and takes approx 15 minutes to reach by road.
Kilimanjaro International Airport which lies 40 Kms from Arusha and
takes approx. 1 hour to reach by road.
Health: An International Certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever
is required for entry in Tanzania.
